Excuse me, this is quite insulting. "This kind of stuff is required"? For what? To kill more people? They have killed thousands of innocent men, women and children in these human experimentation alone and you are saying this was "the only way" for them to protect themselves. Let's face it, it did not save Japan from losing the war or the atomic bombings. NONE of these acts of inhumanity were acceptable, not then and not now. What they did was horrifying, disgusting and shameful. Period.

An even greater horror is what happened after Japan surrendered. Unit 731 Japanese doctors hid their research and negotiated with U.S. (the primary power in the Pacifc, not Britain) to assist the same type of biological and chemical warfare for the U.S. Army in return for their lives. The U.S. agreed and the Japanese researchers relocated to USAMRIIC and continued their work, also translating and explaining their notes. (Now the US had plenty of fluent translators of Japanese, but anyone who has ever done scientific research will tell you that translating "research notes and logs" is not the same as translating even complex documents.)

The evil fruits of this horror and US complicity was unleashed upon Korea but a few years later. To the horror of decent Americans, it was often tested on South Koreans, because recovery of the consequences (feedback) was easier to get from South Korean villages.

These are of course massive war crimes and crimes against humanity. We really need to remember that evil knows no nationality -- brutality is global and seems to be deeply rooted in homo sapien DNA.

why are you so focused on this what about today there are wars going on today and years to come people are dieing every day and when they go through towns they slaughter the kids and the adults this is real freaking life this is what happens ever day so stop worrying about what happened years ago worry about the future humans well be the death of us
