The success of the China-Burma-India Theater is contested. While the Chinese front certainly tied down massive numbers of Japanese troops and contributed greatly to the Japanese defeat in WWII, Allied resupply efforts were mostly unsuccessful and what little aid got through was often squandered by Chiang Kai Shek’s corrupt government.
