Committee Member for Day of Learning
Day of Learning is an event held by the Holocaust Center which hosts over 750 students and teachers from over 100 different schools throughout California. Our organization, Pacific Atrocities Education, has been invited to present at next year’s event, scheduled for March 20th of 2016. We are currently seeking exceptional candidates for the planning committee to develop the workshop.
The planning committee will do the following:
-finalize a topic from [Pacific] WWII to teach to the students
-develop a curriculum to be used for this year's workshop
-find a survivor from Sino-Japanese War to speak to the students
-teach the curriculum to the students
Qualifying candidate must be personally connected to Pacific Atrocities Education's cause (i.e. Women’s rights, Human Rights, History Education). S/he must also be able to communicate cross different cultures and ages.
